I HATE being sick. Sure, it has it's pros and cons, but whenever I get sick, it seems like I always miss out on something fun. Here are some examples.
1. In fourth grade, my teacher (he was really awesome) had planned a Popcorn, Pop, Pizza, and a Povie at Pills house. (Povie is movie and Pill is his nickname.) Then I was going to sleep over at my best friend's house. When I woke up that morning, I had a fever. So we had to call my friend and cancel. I was really bummed.
2. In 2005, we planned a vacation to South Dakota. At least a week before I got sick so we had to bring my big nebulizer along too. I still got to go, but it wasn't as much fun as it could have been, with me coughing and weezing all the time.
3. In third grade, I was starting to get sick a couple of days before my birthday, but I had my party anyway, the day before my birthday. Then the next day I was much more sick, so I had to stay home from school on my birthday. What makes it worse is that we were having a valentines day party on that day too, so I missed that too.
4. This year, I was sick on my birthday again! (I hope this pattern doesn't continue.)
I could probably name a lot more, but I don't want to bore you, so I'll add one more.
5. This week was signs and wonders camp. I was going as a teen helper. On the Friday before the camp, my throat got really sore. I thought it would go away before then. On Monday, I left for camp with a good supply of cough drops and kleenex, but on Wednesday I was running a fever, so I called my dad to come and get me. There's always next time! I just hope that I won't get sick at the next camp later this year.

Dreams
It's been a very slow summer here in KC. Monday brings Signs and Wonders Camp here in KC. This year, due to bad and rainy wheather, instead of sleeping in tents at S and W, we'll be sleeping in the Forerunner School of Ministry building. The funny thing is, I recently had a dream about it. A lot of parents in the dream were mad at Lenny LaGuardia because they thought it would actually be a CAMP, while in my dream, they just slept in their sleeping bags with a blanket beneath their sleeping bags. Stranger still, I had this dream 3 days before I found out that we would be sleeping in FSM. This is probably my first prophetic dream this year. Last summer I had a dream about the end times that actually affected some girls in my tent at S and W camp who were really scared about the end times.

Today was an eventful day. Zach, who is 17, was mowing the lawn and found a 5ft black rat snake! Then he found a small turtle! Then Obe, the Dinsmore's new puppy found a dead bird and started eating it! The problem was that there were maggots in the bird. My mom scooped up the bird with a plastic bag and threw it away. It was really disgusting. Next week is Signs and Wonders camp, where I will be a teen helper. Some of my friends will even be there from different states. Signs and Wonders is a really fun camp. We sleep in tents and play capture-the-flag and swim in the Hernhut pool. There's worship and teachings too. I am really looking forward to it.
